Boomer and Biz
Here are Boomer and Biz just chillin' at the lake. As you see they practice safety by wearing their life jackets. This floating is just for fun but their main job - Shelties like to have a job - is agility. They just can't wait to hit the agility field and jump, tunnel, and climb.

Goliath, NY
This is my Basset, Goliath. I adopted him in January of 2007 from ABC Basset Rescue. He is an awesome companion and friend. I had never had a dog before and I can’t imagine life without him now. He’s lovable, funny, stubborn and always hungry.

Magellan, CO
My parents raised Golden Retrievers and I had one named Shine. He died unexpectedly when he was almost 7. It took me a couple of years to decide to get another Golden. A litter had been born and are the grandpups of my Shine. I went to my parents house to pick a pup out. I prayed, "Lord, just let the right one choose me." I walked into where they all were in a big tub and one jumped right out at me. He was only 7 weeks old at the time so I waited until he was 10 weeks old and brought Magellan home. He'll be 2 on February 21. He's been my constant companion and we love to go on adventures together.

Sadie and Cooper
Please meet my two “kids”, Sadie and Cooper. Sadie is white and Cooper is my “Disney Dog” My kids just turned two on December 2 and they are incredible dogs.
Being Havanese, they are very athletic, especially Sadie, and run circles around the dogs in the neighborhood. They are brother and sister, same litter. I can’t tell you how much fun they are, let alone how much they mean to me. The love and attention they give me goes far beyond the call of duty, but I’ll take every bit of it. They are so smart too. Sadie’s favorite thing is to hide dried sweet potato chews from Cooper….behind flowers on the coffee table, in the Christmas tree stand, pushed down in the sofa…you name it. Cooper’s favorite thing is to find them and tease her. Also, he entertains me by dragging his back legs while following me all around our home. I have had many dogs in my 63 years, but I would recommend this wonderful breed to everyone. They are wonderful with my grandchildren and other dogs.
Here is my pretty kitty cat. She is 14 years old, and she uses The Flying Basset Silver Protien

Yoshi
Here is Yoshi. He was adopted June 2008 from Best Friends. Apparently he was found running on the highway in Denver, on 3 good legs. He was picked up by a kind woman, who took him to the pound, thinking the owners would find and pick him up. No one ever came. The technician at the pound felt so sorry for him, having 3 good legs, being a senior at approximately 11 years old and weighing only 4 pounds that she took him home and posted him on the Best Friends website. When I saw Yoshi, I knew he was the perfect dog for us. He has been a blessing, although the profile said he loves being around cats. Not! Yoshi is constantly harassing our 15 pound cat, but I think the cat thinks it is fun. What a houseful!

Belley , CA
I adopted Belley from the SPCA 5 years ago, and she is going on 10 years old, a ripe old age for a Basset Hound. Belle loves belly rubs, cookies, sniffing everything, her adopted little sister, Daisy, howling and most of all, making sure everyone knows she’s boss!
October 2009
Seca,
Lancaster, CA
She is a Britney spaniel-beagle mix that was abandoned near Arroyo Seco, CA. When we found her she was starving and had severe wounds all over her body from animal attacks. When we first got her she was about 8 months old and so timid that if you even looked at her she would “pittle” herself. It was so sad! It has taken us two years to build her confidence up, and today I am happy to report that she is a healthy, confident dog. I also have chickens, and she occupies most of her time staring at them…possibly imagining a chicken dinner? I don’t know, but she is absolutely fascinated by birds. Her favorite activities include: cuddling with my 20 lb. cat “Trout,” hiking in the mountains and stealing the covers at night. Since I only just finished college, she used to go with me to class. I was lucky enough to have an office on campus because I taught courses there, and she had quite the following. There were people who would come by my office daily, just to say hello to “the little red dog.” She is definitely a people pleaser, and I am lucky to have her.

Sir Charles Harrington
This is Sir Charles Harrington. He is a five-year-old beagle. When I got him, he was a very frightened skiddish two-year-old abused and neglected dog. But over the last few years he has definitely come out of his shell! He is extremely mild-mannered, loves to lounge around and rarely barks or bays. He enjoys going for walks and playing with his stuffed giraffe Kyle. He has become so popular in the neighborhood that we get stopped numerous times a week on our daily walks. Children run over to pet him and adults ask questions about him and tell me how "handsome" he is. He is truly a special and very loved dog.

Homer J. Simpson,
Lancaster, CA
His Name is Homer J. Simpson. He is a Sheppard/Pit-bull mix. Homer is 5 years old and was born on 10/31/04, on Halloween night. He loves to chill in his pool, instead of my gigantic pool. He loves to chase cats, play with the water hose and scare the mailman and FedEx guy. He is the protector of the house. He will attack on command and does not take crap from anybody, but he is also the sweetest and smartest dog I have ever seen. He looks after his sibling’s, Odie Simpson and Roxy Simpson. They are both Pure Breed miniature Dachshunds. He will not let anybody mess with them and one time, Homer saved Roxy when she fell into the Pool. He jumped in and pushed her towards the steps so she could get out. You can call him a SUPERHERO, as he loves the Flying Bassets Super Hero Treats. He eats them every day along with my other two pups. Homer is not just a dog, but part of the family. We love him very much.

Kylie,
Valencia, CA
Hi, my name is Kylie. I am about 7 month’s old right now. My mom rescued me in front of a Kmart when I was only about 6 or 7 weeks old. I was mal nutrition and scared of everything, even my own shadow. My mom started feeding me lots of fresh organic meats and veggies along with rich EFA oils and nutritional complex vitamins and minerals. O boy I just love feeding time. Before I knew it, I was gaining weight, had tons of energy and never felt starved. I love being around people now and some of my favorite hobbies are tearing apart all of my stuffed animals, and going to the park and running around with all the other dogs. Thanks to flying Basset, I will continue to have a healthy, long, happy life.

Charlie, Valencia, CA
Hi, my name is Charlie. I am a pure bread female Teacup poodle. I will be turning 13 this November and I do not feel a day past 2. For the past 7 months, my mom has put me on a very delicious balanced diet. I get fresh raw veggies and steamed organic chicken, pork and beef. She mixes in a delicious blend of Flying Bassett EFA oils, CoQ 10 for my brain function, and Nutritional Complex for my over balance and well being. The flavor is great and the benefits are even more amazing. Since I am getting a little up there in age and I exercise regularly I sometimes get a little stiff in my joints. That is when I get join recovery treats. Yum yum! Anyways, I live the life and hopefully thanks to flying Basset will have many more years to come.

April 2009
Stinky, San Fernando, CA
It was like a streak of white lighting as I looked to see this white fuzzy fur running across the street right in front of me, and wearing a pink tutu no less. She narrowly missed the Semi's last eighteen wheel as I continued watching thru my rear view mirror. I couldn't resist turning around to find her. First flee bitten, dirty, and skinny yet never shy was she when accepted into her loving home. Now she and the cat play tag all day long, not a worry in the word that anything could go wrong. Thank goodness now, I think our dog understands, English to the point of "NO POTTY INSIDE". The best new family member we could have be, passed right before my eyes just before XMAS Eve.
March 2009
Yoji, Valencia, CA
Yoji was purchased from a breeder in Lucerne Valley, CA. At 8 weeks old he was the best Christmas present our family ever received. He is an energetic pug that provides hours of comic relief for our family. At a mere 2 pounds when we bought him, he has grown into a 13 pound ball of craziness! He loves carrots and treats of any kind as most pugs do! He is in the process of training and is the star pupil in his class. He is snuggly and loveable and is good for our stress levels. Yoji means 4 character in Japanese and his name is true in meaning. In a family of 3 characters, he is without a doubt our 4th character!.

December 2008
Rocky, Kingman, AZ
Here is Rocky's picture, A.K.A. Rockford Allan when he misbehaves. He is of uncertain parentage and has modeled as a "poster-dog" for a doggie no-kill shelter. He was found in a rural desert area in AZ. He just loves the Super Hero Treats and will gladly dance or beg or even hi-five you for one anytime, any day.
November 2008
Lady on the Left, Bear on the Right.
West Hills, CA.
October 2008
Stevie - Chatsworth, CA.
We
rescued Stevie from the Pet Adoption Fund in Canoga Park
about 6 months ago -- he's gained a few pounds since
he's been with us -- eating everything in sight. Stevie
craves attention (what dog doesn't) -- he's also a
little aggressive when playing with the family's stuffed
toys, loves to steal the spotlight & of course, take
long walks & jogs.
